What is my fun fact?

👩‍💻 As Biologist,

'Hacked' My Way Into Design

I was initially studying biotechnology, but upon discovering an interest in architectural design and wishing to switch majors, my university prohibited the change. In response, I exploited a loophole in the course selection system, employing automated robot software to enroll in architecture courses. A year later, my top grades in design earned me special approval to pursue the degree. Ultimately, I graduated with degrees in both biotechnology and architecture. During this period, I won a first-class scholarship from the School of Architecture Design and subsequently attended Columbia University for my Master's in Architecture, ranked second in the U.S.

Embracing Technology and AI at Columbia University While at Columbia, I realized the tremendous impact of technology and AI and began to study product design and business thinking. In addition to my self-study, I audited courses in the MBA and Computer Science departments, ultimately achieving the highest score in Columbia’s CS department’s product design course, and passed the interview for a full-time product designer position at Google before graduating.

🚀 Startup Adventures

However, to learn how to build a company from scratch, I joined an early-stage startup, Arbol, and independently led the design of the company's contract and cash flow management system.

At Arbol

In my junior year of college, I was originally studying biotechnology, but I discovered a professional interest in architectural design and wanted to change my major.

However, the school, citing the five-year program of the architecture department, did not allow me to switch majors or double major. I found a loophole in the course selection system and successfully "hacked" into it to forcibly enroll in architecture courses. A year later, with my top grades in architecture, I received special approval to pursue the subject. Eventually, I graduated with degrees in both biotechnology and architecture.

During this time, I also won a first-class scholarship from the School of Architecture and interned at top architectural firms in the United States, Europe, and China, eventually coming to Columbia University to continue my Master's in Architecture (ranked second in the U.S.).
